Pittcon 2014

MEET GASERA AT PITTCON 2014 – BOOTH #1863

We cordially invite you to visit booth #1863 where you can find our products based on the novel ultra-sensitive cantilever sensor technology combined with the photoacoustic measurement principle.

Illicit drug abuse detection with Gasera’s PA301 FTIR accessory
The PA301 photoacoustic FTIR accessory was applied to detection of cocaine abuse. Hair samples from cocaine overdose patients were measured and compared to a drug-free reference group. The two groups were successfully separated by their spectra with PCA and proper spectral pre-processing. For further information please download the PhD thesis here.

OEM opportunities

Last year we introduced the F10-OEM gas analyzer module, which is based on Gasera’s F10 instrument and packaged in an easily utilized enclosure for several OEM applications such as waste anesthetic gas monitoring, fermentation, agriculture and industrial safety. This year we have taken another step to package the LP1 laser based instrument in an OEM concept in order to fulfill the needs of our industrial customers who want to build their own analyzer systems and utilize the unmatched performance of the cantilever enhanced photoacoustics.

Photoacoustic research module PA201 combined with widely tunable QCL sources

Gasera’s PA201 is a custom photoacoustic gas cell designed for laboratory measurements to perform research and application feasibility testing. It can be easily connected with different types of light sources such as the near infrared distributed feedback laser (DFB), the quantum cascade laser (QCL) and the optical parametric oscillator (OPO).

Several different mid-IR laser sources was combined with the PA201 by Christian Hirchmannin in his PhD thesis for the analysis of VOC traces in ambient air. For further information please download the PhD thesis here.

The PA201 combined with external cavity QCL forms an inspiring technology platform for several multi-gas applications requiring ultimate sensitivity (sub-ppb) and selectivity. For demonstration purpose a spectrum covering the range from 760 to 1360 1/cm was measured from a gas mixture of SF6, CH4 and NF3.
