quantiAGREMI

QuantiAGREMI aims to develop an SI-traceable field measurement infrastructure for the accurate quantification of emissions (especially ammonia, NH₃, and greenhouse gases) from livestock production (animal housing). Its objective is to enable policy-makers and industry actors to assess and implement mitigation measures for livestock-related emissions, reduce uncertainties in emission inventories, and hence support sustainable agriculture.

Gasera’s role involves developing a new laser-based, field-deployable instrument capable of simultaneously detecting CH₄, NH₃, N₂O and H₂O using one mid-IR laser. The target sensitivities are given (e.g., for NH₃ and N₂O ~10 nmol/mol, for CH₄ ~50 nmol/mol) in order to meet the demanding measurement conditions around livestock housing.

In other words, Gasera contributes its expertise in high-sensitivity gas sensing technologies (laser/photoacoustic, multi-gas sensors) to support the measurement infrastructure for the project.
