The Efficient Photonics for Sustainable Imaging and Sensing (EPheS) project develops next-generation photonic solutions that enable compact, energy-efficient, and environmentally sustainable imaging and sensing systems. By combining advanced meta-optics, MEMS-based tunable filters, and innovative material technologies, EPheS aims to create high-performance spectral imaging and gas-sensing devices that use fewer resources, reduce environmental impact, and open new possibilities in industrial, environmental, and safety applications.

Gasera contributes its leading expertise in high-sensitivity gas detection and cantilever-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy to support the development of EPheS gas-sensing concepts. Gasera helps integrate new photonic components into practical sensing architectures, guides system-level design based on real industry requirements, and evaluates performance in relevant application environments. Through its participation, Gasera ensures that EPheS innovations are not only cutting-edge but also scalable, robust, and ready for real-world deployment.
